The iconic Japanese fashion label COMME des GARÇONS approached us to create a video for Wonderoud, a new high-end fragrance from the Wonderwood line. The video would be presented at the 2013 IAC, an annual PUIG event at new fragrances make their début. The client wanted a modern, avant-garde look, echoing the brand universe we had created for Wonderoud’s launch.

Inspired by natural oud, or The Black Gold of Perfumers, the video featured organic layers of wood in shades of gold and copper, capturing the scintillating reaction that occurs under the bark to create the resin. Circo spearheaded the art direction and motion design, then teamed up with Triptyque to produce the video that was aired in a space across 3 screens.
