In 2011, Bell approached Circo to come up with a new identity for its Celebrity Gala, an annual event the last 20 years. Our first charity gala for Bell was in support of the Child and Adult Mental Health (CAMH) organization. Circo developed the concept for the event - naming and bringing to life the theme, One night under a blue sky. Our team produced an immersive universe for 2,000 guests at MTCC in Toronto using multimedia projections and dazzling graphical studies of the sky as a metaphor for the changing moods related to mental health.
The event included cocktails and a dinner-show, as well as branding, visual and set design (120ft stage; 8,000 sq ft custom built HD screens), music, 44 artists from 4 countries, a 350-strong crew and original costumes that featured LED to reflect the light and hope that the charity gala embodies.
One night under a blue sky successfully met Bell's objectives and raised over $1.2million!
